Process
The Four Gates
Every transaction passes four gates in sequence: due diligence, pay, source assay and refine, ship. Refining happens in Ghana inside Gate 3, so what ships is export-ready bullion. Nothing moves until the previous gate is complete.
Each gate in detail
- Gate 101
Due diligence
Offtaker onboarding, KYC/AML and due diligence completed with Goldbod (Ghana Gold Board).
Begin here- Submit corporate documents, beneficial ownership and authorised signatories
- KYC/AML and sanctions screening
- Due diligence completed with Goldbod
- Agree product, fineness, volume, Incoterms and pricing basis
- Gate 202
Pay
Purchase funds are remitted through Goldbod under its trading conditions and allocated to local purchase.
Typical transfer: 48 hours- Funds remitted per Goldbod trading conditions; wire and FX path through Goldbod
- Funds allocated to the transaction on receipt
- Gate 303
Source, assay, refine
We purchase and aggregate, complete assay, and refine the doré at a GoldBod-approved licensed refinery.
Purchase and assay: 5 to 10 business days- Doré bought from licensed miners and local licensed traders
- Assay on purchase
- Refined in Ghana on the refinery schedule; cost per commercial terms
- Serial, hallmark and assay certificate issued per 1 kg bar
- Gate 404
Ship
Export approval after refining, assay and regulatory checks; refined 1 kg bullion delivered to the offtaker.
Delivery: 1 to 3 days once export-ready- Export approval once refining, assay and regulatory checks are confirmed
- Secure packing and insured air freight, FOB Ghana or CIF
After Gate 4, and only if you ask: Dubai customs clearance through XAU Ventures FZE. It is not a gate, and offtakers with their own clearance go direct.
From DD to delivery in a few weeks.
Timelines run from completion of the previous gate and depend on counterparty responsiveness, banking channels and logistics.
